Woods used are Yellowbox Burl, PollyAnna Burl, and Red Mallee Burl,
each side has 2 different species of Burl,
one species on top, other species on bottom.
These have the Yellowbox Burl on top, and either PollyAnna Burl or Red Mallee Burl on bottom.
Burls have been stabilized to fortify the wood and make it very durable.
Any "cracks" you see are called inclusions, and a characteristic of the Burl.
Larger "voids" I have filled with Turquoise.
Glossy finish applied, and hand buffed several times with Carnuba Wax.
Rectangular shaped earrings:
Earring dimensions are 7/8" wide x 1 3/4" tall at widest/tallest point,
and are assembled to sit facing out,
they are small enough so they don't interfere with movement of your head or neck.
1st picture is the face (outside), if you prefer the coloring/design reversed, just let me know in buying comments.
